Knotty Pony Yarn
Knotty Pony Yarn was brought to life in the summer of 2024, and officially made its way to people's doors in the summer of 2025! After dealing with chenille yarn that fell apart whenever I tried to sew with it, close a magic ring, and honestly looked at it the wrong way, I decided to set out on a mission to create a chenille yarn that was durable, soft, and enjoyable to work with. Knotty Pony was the answer!
Where did the name 'Knotty Pony' come from?
One of the questions I've been asked many times is where the name, 'Knotty Pony' came from! I knew I wanted to tie in the yarn name to my crochet business, Traveling Pony Studios, and decided to keep the 'pony' part of it.
When I was brainstorming ideas while crocheting in my room, I looked out my window to my pony, Freya, picking on her company. She was being so naughty! It was an ah-ha moment, and we went with it.
